Mori Sushi Restaurant Review

Tonight was Sushi night and I was so excited that I did not eat anything since morning! I wanted to make sure I have enough space to eat as much as I can…

We head down to Mori Sushi in Downtown Emaar Square. I easily parked my car in the building parking which is free for 3 hours if your validate your coupon and walked to the restaurant where I was welcomed by the friendly staff.

The décor is simple with natural elements like wood and green plants and well fitted for a casual street star restaurant!

The menu is too big so I asked the waiter to help us in choosing the food and he did a great job because I loved every option he suggested so you can trust the staff for being knowledgeable and well trained when it comes to the food they serve.

For the drinks we had lemon and mint mojito and strawberry mojito and water:

We started with

  • Miso soup
  • Salted Edamame
  • Spicy Shrimp Mayonnaise
  • Bon Bon
  • Crab & Shrimp Salad
  • Seaweed Salad

My favorite of all the starters was Bon Bon and Spicy shrimps and I loved the crab salad too. The seaweed salad was too fresh and crunchy and great for cleansing the pallet!

For the main we ordered from grill menu as well as deep fried sushi, sashimi and normal sushi:

  • Beef Skewer
  • Maguaro Sashimi
  • Sake Sashimi
  • Spicy Lemon Roll
  • Hot Bankok Roll
  • Special Ura Calamari Roll
  • New Style Philadelphia
  • Hungry Roll
  • Piccaso Roll
  • Philadelphia Roll
  • Pink Panther
  • Mori Rainbow Roll
  • Dragon Roll
  • Crispy Salmon Cheddar

Our favorites are Hot Bankok Roll, Spicy Lemon Roll, Sashimi and New style Phili. I did not like the Crispy Salmon Cheddar because of too much rice and Cheddar flavor. For the rest of the rolls I felt the taste is too similar or at that point I could not say any difference between them as I was about to explode.

But you know I would never say no to desert so the yummy part of dinner was still to come:

  • Swiss Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice cream
  • Richy Crème Brulee

and the winner for the desert battle was the Swiss chocolate fondant with Vanilla ice cream for the better look and sweet Choco flavor and the frozen cold ice cream.

If you have a soft spot for Sushi, Mori Sushi is one of the places you have to visit for a casual laid back sushi indulgent.
